I moved out of the Valencia area a few years ago and still make the drive to Dr. John because he is that good.

Dr. John and his friendly staff are the absolute best! If you've been looking for a top notch dentist, I'm proud to say your search is finally over. Before going to Dr. John, I use to dread going to the dentist, BUT not anymore! My experience is never painful due to Dr. John and his teams expertise.

I will recommend Dr. John to everyone I come across, especially to all my friends who have children. Parents you really need to take you children here!

I heard about Dr. John's office through my family, and not only is he a great dentist, but the staff are very charming and professional. First of all I would like to talk about the dentist. Dr. John is the most gentle dentist I have ever had so far. For the past four years I have been going there, I have had procedures done such as root canal, fillings, and veneers. Not ever did I feel any pain. I also admire his honesty and straight forwardness. There was also a time when I had an emergency on a weekend and he was kind enough to see me.

Second, the staff are the most accommodating people because they make you feel at home. They also try their best to not make you feel nervous.

Third, I would like to make a special mention about how clean their office is. For me, this is a big factor on why I feel comfortable and safe going there.

Ive been going here for 5+ years. I've always been scared of going to the dentist due to some painful experiences earlier in my life but I feel very comfortable when I come here. Just went in today for x-rays and a cleaning. As usual, it was a pleasant experience (as pleasant as possible when going to a dentist).

I had a lot of plaque built up and stains as well but Dr. John cleaned my teeth up nicely and with very minimal pain. The whole thing only took about an hour.

He's attentive to his patients and does good detailed work. Informative and honest when he explained the examination of my teeth. On top of that, he's a nice person.

The facility and equipment are very clean. Digital x-ray's and tv's in every booth.

Best part of all is the staff. The ladies working there are genuinely friendly, caring sweet people. Always a pleasure to be around. They do a great job working the front desk, taking x-rays, polishing teeth, etc.

I would recommend this place to anybody who needs dental work done. They are professional, nice people and good at what they do.

I came across Dr. John Ortiz through my wife's referral. I've been with him for several years. What makes Dr. John Ortiz is his ability to "understand" your financial situation. And that's what I mean he's a GOOD DENTIST WHO IS VERY UNDERSTANDING.

I know you can go to "any"dentist but if you ever want someone who will not only explain to you in layman's term what a root canal is and what the process entails, you can always ask me about me about his performance and excellent competency. Again, he understands you and he "feels" for you. He treats you like family.

Also, his support system is beyond awesome. Lynnette, Jessica and Stephanie are very accommodating. You leave a message and they'll immediately return your call. If something comes up and your going to be late they're very accommodating with adjustments, too. And they're just very nice people.

If you need something on the fly, someone who really CARES about you, look no further and give Dr. John Ortiz a call. They're are conveniently at the heart of Stevenson Ranch. He's simply, the BEST of the Best!

Ok, so I know that most people (at least people like me who are terrified of dentist and would have no real reason to give a Yelp review on em) would probably expect only 6 reviews at any dentist...I mean, who LIKES the dentist?! BUT, if you'll notice every one is 5 Stars!! There's a reason for that. I've been going to Dr John for two years now and EVERY single appointment has been a positive experience. I don't want you to think that every appointment has been for a cleaning and so there's really nothing for me to complain about. I've had (between my three kids and my husband and I) cavities, fluoride treatments, cleanings, root canals that needed build ups, bridges, just about everything and much more work to be done. He's the kindest dentist. His staff is amazing! They're all so helpful, and they seem to genuinely care about you and your teeth. I have never had a problem getting an appointment (I actually try avoiding appointments and then regret that I did) My husband has chosen Stevenson Ranch as our retirement destination and I'm so thankful to have a dentist within walking distance that I absolutely love. Excellent, EXCELLENT service!!! Amazing people! I'm so incredibly thankful for them because I'm so scared of the dentist and they make it easier! THANK YOU!!!!

I have been to a lot of dentists
I am in my mid fifties and I have had many dentists work on my teeth over my lifetime. I must say that I have never received such outstanding care and service from any other dentist as I have with Dr. John Ortiz-Luis and his staff at Valencia Marketplace Dental. This year marks TEN years that I have been a patient with them. My wife and my 5 kids also share in this sentiment.

I don't like pain
From my very first appointment with "Dr. John" I was impressed with how important it was for him to minimize my pain. He has always been gentle, careful, and mindful with his techniques to ensure that pain is absent or at least minimal. And my kids have never been afraid to go to the dentist.

The appearance of my teeth are important to me
Dr. John is a true artist. He takes the time to ensure that his work leaves your teeth looking their best. Several member of my family have had work done on their front teeth ranging from broken front teeth to large gaps between teeth. Dr. John's artistry has stood up to the test of time. Not only does his work look great, it also holds up and maintains structural integrity over many years.

Dr. John and his staff are always so friendly and helpful. I actually look forward to the welcoming committee when I visit their office. Everyone is always outgoing, friendly, and helpful. I feel like I can bring in all my dental concerns to their attention and they will all rally to support my needs. From choosing between procedure alternatives to picking an appointment date, Dr. John and his staff listen to my concerns and do everything they can to accommodate me.

I like to have all the info before making a decision
It is very important to me that I have an understanding as to what alternatives are available for my care. Dr. John always tells me the alternatives along with the pros and cons before making his recommendations. In the end, I always feel like I am in the loop and I have a voice. I never feel like I am being taken advantage of. In many cases, I could have easily been talked into more expensive procedures, and I would have never known the truth. However, Dr. John has oftentimes recommended the least expensive solution in order to minimize the cost as well as avoid the unnecessary demolition of my teeth.

I like to know what I can do to keep my teeth healthy
Whenever we visit Valencia Marketplace Dental, Dr. John provides all the information we need for aftercare to ensure maximum health benefits. We are always provided with preventative advice as well.

I like easy access to my dentist office
Not only is Valencia Marketplace Dental located in a central, easy-to-get-to location, they are also very accommodating with scheduling of appointments. When I need to make an appointment due to unexpected dental mishaps, they always find a way to squeeze me in oftentimes on the same day or within a day or two. If I am suffering from any pain I have never been made to wait.

I don't like surprises on my bill
Before there is any expensive procedure done, the staff has always researched my insurance benefits prior to moving forward. I understand what is available with my insurance and what my out-of-pocket expenses will be. I always know that they are looking out for my family's best interests.
